Realtime Trains was launched in October 2012 following the release of open realtime running information earlier that year by Network Rail. Realtime Preserved Trains brings the technology to preserved railways using a unique combination of hardware and software.
Realtime Preserved Trains was launched in late May 2015. The first operational event was the first public running weekend of prototype HST power car 41001 in preservation.
